I'm ready for the Next Moly!!!!

Hello fellow Moly members,

It's time for a little update, I think. I sent my and Sharons Moly to Lally. Ewian made her beautiful entry already. But, unfortunately, I have to wait a while before it gets in my mailbox. And what happend to Bruce's Moly? Does anyone know?
As you can see below I'm ready for my next Moly ;). This isn't my studio (because I don't have one) but if it was available.....it would be mine :)

Hope to hear from you all soon, bye Karlijn

View form a studio window - video

As mention in my blog post yesterday: http://moleskinex79.blogspot.com/2010/10/view-form-studio-window.html and http://ewian.blogspot.com/2010/10/view-form-studio-window.html My inspiration for this entry was the view from my studio window. I love the motive of the clothesline. This one I share with my neighbour.

Medium used: pencil, eraser, acrylic paint, iridescent, vinyl paint, vintage paper, permanent marker, crystal gloss, promarkers, gesso and glue.

View form a studio window

EWian moly_x_79

Hi, suddenly realised I had some blogging to do...

My inspiration for this entry was the view from my studio window. I love the motive of the clothesline. This one I share with my neighbour. In this entry I have used a bit whimsical style. So excited to see how the rest of the book will develop. Wondering how people and the art will interact on the pages.

I'll upload the video on how I made my entry, just need to edit it down to under 10 minutes.

Here's my entry to Sharons Moly. I really liked how Sharon interpreted her view; how she drew the house and the lady in the window. So I wanted to do something with both and make it a little bit mysterious. I'm curious about who lives behind those windows, what their lifes are about, their hopes and dreams. So this is what I came up with. Hope you like it, Sharon.
And Lally....you'll get another Moly sent to you!!

Hi Everyone

This is my attempt in my book for the view but from the wrong side if you know what I mean!! I hear from Jill that she is rather busy with work at the moment so I shall send this book on to the next person on the list, (Karlijn I think) and then at the end it can go back to Jill for her to complete it. Hope this is OK with everyone - I just wanted to keep things moving.

This sketch is taken from a photo that did for a charity "nude" calendar. A very buxom young lady was leaning out of the old shed window. I've made her less buxom and "more Clothed"!

This is it!

Hello hello,

Here is my entry to our Moly exchange. I would love to know what you think about it. I got inspired by my grandparents old photos so it's a view from my window into the past. So the next one is Lally....I will send the book to you now!!
I'm even more curious in what you're all doing. And could anyone please let us know where the first Moly is. It would be really nice to have a little update.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Bye Karlijn

Little update

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would give you a little update of what I'm doing for the Moly exchange. I really have got a lot of ideas for this topic. So I will send you my first sketch. I already got: "looking outside my window", I'm working on the View :). I want to work with mixed media, drawing, paper, fabric, ect. But why aren't I'm working in my Moly, you may ask......
I only got the sketchbook version and I really wanted to work in the Japanese version. Well I found a Dutch site where I could order a Japanese Moly, whoepie!!!
But I have to wait 5 till 7 days before I get it. I ordered it 4 days ago so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be here soon :)

I'm curious about what you're doing. And where is Bruce's Moly now? I lost track after Sharon....could anyone tell me? And are there already more Moly79 circuling around?

Hope to hear from you all.

Bye Karlijn

Little introduction

Hi everyone,

Well here is my introduction.....I'm 31 years old and I like:

Art, painting, books, babyfeet, my boyfriend and little son, feeling of grass with my bare feet, drawing, spring, fall, Sex & the City, icecreams, France, my frieds, getting a card by mail, babykisses, thea with a magazine, reading in bed, dancing, Den Bosch, festivals, my two sisters, the sea, my parents, sleepovers, camping, x-mas, taking long walks in a forest, the sixties, the fifthies, the eighties, summer and winterevenings,a nice warm fireplace drinking red wine.

I work for 3 days as an Art therapist with disabled kids (autisme, ADHD, ect.) Besides that, I spend time with my son and boyfriend and study art at an Art School in Belgium. This year is my final year and it's going to be a busy one because I have to finish my work on time and I'm expecting my second baby in March :). So I already started painting and drawing. My inspiration: old photos I got from my grandparents.
The empty rooms and portraits on my Flickrsite are my first reaction on these photos.

I really like the topic "View from my window" and I'm really excited to get started. I'm thinking of using the old photo with the topic....maybe a view from my window into the past? I don't know yet but it will come together eventually.
Well I think that's enough......for now :))

Hi

I am now retired and spend my time training my two dogs, Floyd a German Shepherd and Daphne a black labrador, to compete in Working Trials which is similar to what the police do. I can liken it to 3 day eventing for horses as there are so many different elements to complete. I spend time in my 2 acre garden and drawing and painting which I took up when I retired.

Do hope that you all like what we've done so far. Bruce's picture of Paul, The Octopus, got me thinking and I wanted to keep the round window going, and could only think of a space ship! Can't wait to see what Jill adds to the book which I sent to her last week. The next book is almost ready to go!
Do hope that this group manages to keep going. I've loved being in the different Moly groups and seen what others can do.

Moly_x 79!

Hi moly_xers!

So about me:
I'm Bruce, student in high school, coffee lover, gym goer, art camp Assistant. Born and raised in a small country town (that sounds so boring compared to Scotland, Norway, Philippines, etc..HA) I am always finding little things in life to love, organic homemade pizza sauce, photography in my garage,Odawalla Juice, Russian friends...

Art has always been in my life, but being able to create it... I only started doing that a couple years ago. There is so much variety in art that I can never be satisfied drawing one thing and using only one medium. So my art is ever changing, pencil drawn trees to watercolor girls with huge afros. Pop art limes to Acrylic bird sculptures.
This is my first moly_x and I am very excited to get it going :p

Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.
